Microsoft Outlook: Review and update work hours and location in the My Day pane

Microsoft Outlook: Review and update work hours and location in the My Day pane

In the latest update of Microsoft Outlook, users will soon have the ability to view and update their work hours and location in the My Day pane, making it easier to manage their schedules. The feature will be available for new Outlook for Windows and the web, starting with Targeted Release in September 2024 and General Availability in October 2024. Users will be able to update their Work Hours and Location information from My Day and view who is coming to Office. This feature comes with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 412618 and will be enabled by default.

Before the update, users can already review and update their work hours and location in the Settings page of Outlook. This page will remain in place even after the rollout. With the new update, users will have the added convenience of being able to view and update their work hours and location in the My Day pane within Outlook. Any changes made to the My Day pane will sync up to other work hours and location settings made in Outlook.

To prepare for this update, no administrator action is needed as the rollout will happen automatically by the specified date. Users may need to be notified about this change and relevant documentation should be updated accordingly.
