Microsoft Outlook: Adding security to feedback policy checks across all user accounts
Microsoft Outlook is implementing a security enhancement by making feedback policy checks more restrictive across user accounts. This change will roll out starting in late September 2024 for Targeted Release, and in late October 2024 for General Availability. Previously, eligibility for feedback submission was determined based only on the feedback policy of a user's primary account. However, after the rollout, eligibility will be determined by the most restrictive feedback policy value among all of a user's accounts. If any of a user's accounts have feedback disabled by policy, the Feedback button in Outlook will not be shown for any of their accounts. No admin action is required before the rollout, and this change will be on by default. Administrators may want to inform users of this change and update relevant documentation.
This enhancement will increase security by making feedback policy checks more secure and restrict feedback submission for users with policies disabling feedback on any of their accounts. This message applies to new Outlook on Windows desktop and Outlook on the web, and is related to Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 416296. For more information, visit the Microsoft Support website.
