SharePoint: New enhancements to Restricted access control using Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra security groups
SharePoint admins take note, there are new enhancements coming to Restricted Access Control (RAC) designed to further secure Microsoft 365 and Entra Security groups. RAC provides a premium security policy option that allows admins to restrict access to SharePoint and OneDrive resources for specified user groups. This update will provide new capabilities such as the ability to review RAC effects via Insights reports and additional policy configuration options. Additionally, visibility of policy enforcement will be extended to site owners through SharePoint sites. The preview release is set for July 2024, with official release set for the following month.
