Microsoft Teams: Collaborative call delegation on Teams Phone devices

Microsoft Teams Phone devices are set to receive a new feature called Collaborative Call Delegation, as part of Microsoft 365's roadmap ID 416288. This feature allows users to delegate call management tasks to a group of individuals in a sequential manner to ensure that calls are handled efficiently, avoiding the risk of important calls being missed. The feature is expected to be rolled out in January and February 2025 worldwide. With the Collaborative Call Delegation feature, calls will be passed seamlessly between team members in the delegation group to ensure continuity in availability, should one member be unavailable. Users are required to update their Teams Phone devices with the latest application to get access to the Collaborative call delegation feature. The feature can be set up using PowerShell. It is recommended that current configurations be reviewed to determine the impact on the organization before the rollout.
