Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Information Protection – Modernized user-defined permissions experience

Microsoft is introducing a modernized user-defined permissions experience for selecting which users should have which permissions when a sensitivity label configured for user-defined permissions is applied to a file in M365 apps or when a user applies protection using standalone Information Rights Management. This update, which will become generally available in March CY2024 (with a preview available in January CY2024), aims to streamline and simplify the process of managing user permissions within M365. The platform will be available on desktop and in the cloud, and will be accessible worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant), including GCC instances. Keep an eye on Roadmap ID 189826 for more updates as the release date approaches.
For more information on this update, check out the post on the M365 Admin website.
