Microsoft Defender XDR services: Removing Defender for Identity recommendation from Microsoft Secure Score

Microsoft Secure Score is updating their recommendations report to better reflect a company's security posture, and this update will remove a Defender for Identity recommendation. The removal will not affect Secure Scores and requires no admin action. The rollout to remove this recommendation is expected to take place worldwide, including the GCC and DoD regions, starting in mid-September 2024, with expected completion by late September 2024.

Microsoft is refining their recommendations report and improving Microsoft Secure Score improvement actions for Microsoft Defender for Identity. As part of this update, a recommendation to remove resource-based constrained delegation for Microsoft Entra seamless SSO account will be withdrawn. Although the recommendation to remove this feature will be removed from Microsoft Secure Score, the Secure Score itself will not be affected by this change since the recommendation is automatically set to completed status.
