Microsoft Defender for Endpoint: Removing a recommendation to update Microsoft Secure Score
Microsoft Defender for Endpoint is preparing to update the Microsoft Secure Score to improve security postures. As part of this update, the MDE recommendation for Local Admin password management, SCID-84, will be withdrawn. The refinement of this recommendation aims to align with recommended policies and enhance overall security. The rollout is scheduled from mid-September to mid-October 2024, and there is no action required from admins. The recommendation will be completely removed from the UI, and relevant scores will be updated accordingly. Admins should notify their users about the change and update any relevant documentation as appropriate. This update is available by default.
