Microsoft Secure Score – changing Microsoft Defender for Identity recommendation

Microsoft is updating the Microsoft Secure Score improvement action for Microsoft Defender for Identity to offer a more accurate representation of security posture, according to this post. In mid-July 2024, the recommendation to manage accounts with passwords older than 180 days will be removed from the user interface, and the secure score will be adjusted accordingly. The security assessment report will be refined to ensure that it aligns more accurately with recommended policies and enhances overall security. No admin action is required for this automatic roll-out, but users may want to update relevant documentation and notify their users about this change.
