In an effort to provide a more accurate representation of security posture, Microsoft is updating its Microsoft Secure Score improvement actions. The update is expected to roll out from mid-November to mid-December 2023. The update includes new Microsoft Defender for Identity recommendations as improvement actions that analyze the configurations of different AD CS components and guide remediation, if necessary. The new security posture reports focus on Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS) and include improvement actions such as preventing users from requesting a certificate valid for arbitrary users based on the certificate template, editing misconfigured enrollment agent certificate templates and editing vulnerable Certificate Authority settings. Microsoft advises users to review the improvement actions listed in Microsoft Secure Score in preparation for the update, and will continue to add suggested security improvement actions periodically.
Stay informed and ensure you're up to date on the latest security measures with Microsoft Secure Score and the new Microsoft Defender for Identity recommendations to keep your organization safe.
