This update will allow organizations to leverage Administrative Units in Azure Active Directory to specify who can configure and manage policies in Microsoft Purview, ensuring secure and compliant retention and retention label policies are enforced. Specifically, this update enables the assignment of a Records Management admin for a specific geography, department, or unit who can manage policies for their assigned area.
This new capability is slated for preview release in June CY2023, with the full release planned for August CY2023. The platform is accessible via Web Cloud Instance GCC High, DoD, GCC and the roadmap ID for this release is 117353.
