Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Lifecycle Management – Retention policy support for legacy Teams CDR messages
Microsoft Teams Retention policies are getting an upgrade to now include CDR messages, which are system-generated messages from Teams meetings. Previously, only messages generated after October 2022 were supported for retention. This new update now extends the coverage to include messages created before October 2022, ensuring that both old and new messages are supported in the same manner. This feature is now globally available for all platforms including Web Cloud Instance Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant), DoD, and GCC High. It was created on November 30, 2022, and is part of the Microsoft 365 roadmap ID 106103.
