Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Audit (Premium) – Customized retention policies for 10-Year Audit Log Retention Add On (U.S. Government clouds)

Microsoft is introducing a new feature that will allow customers to create additional customized retention policies for the 10-Year Audit Log Retention Add-On for Microsoft Purview Audit (Premium). The new options for retention policies include 7 days, 30 days, 3 years, 5 years, and 7 years. The feature is set to be released in September CY2023, with a preview release in August CY2023, and will be available on web cloud instances GCC High, GCC, and DoD. This update is part of Microsoft's roadmap ID 115502.

For those in the US Government clouds, Microsoft Purview Compliance Portal: Audit (Premium) now offers customized retention policies that can help you better manage data and comply with relevant regulations. This new feature is a step forward in data retention policy customization and will enable Microsoft Purview customers to better tailor their data retention practices in accordance with their organization's legal and compliance requirements.
