SharePoint: New Content AI Rules in SharePoint to set sensitivity labels and retention policy

SharePoint: New Content AI Rules in SharePoint to set sensitivity labels and retention policy

SharePoint has introduced two new rules for content AI that will facilitate the application of retention policies and sensitivity labels to documents meeting specified conditions. These rules can be triggered upon detecting a change in column data or the addition of a file to a SharePoint library. The sensitivity labels have already been defined in Purview, which means users can now directly apply them to documents. The release date for this feature is September CY2024, and it will be available in the General Availability release phase for the Web Cloud Instance worldwide.

If you are a SharePoint user, this feature promises to make it easier to manage content and ensure sensitive or confidential documents are appropriately labeled and retained. For more information, you can visit the SharePoint roadmap link provided in the article.

Stay on top of your SharePoint game with this latest update and apply these new content AI rules to enhance your document management system. The post SharePoint: New Content AI Rules in SharePoint to set sensitivity labels and retention policy was originally published on M365 Admin.
