Microsoft Purview | Information Protection: Configure labels independently on files and emails
Microsoft Purview gets a new update that allows admins to configure labels on files and emails independently, resulting in greater control over data protection. With this update, label policies can be scoped to address either emails or files or both, based on individual requirements. The feature is set to release in the General Availability phase in December CY2022, after a preview in November CY2022.
