Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Information Protection – Auto-labeling support OneDrive users and group scoping

This post highlights that Microsoft Purview compliance portal now offers scoping support for OneDrive users and groups in its service side auto-labeling feature for better information protection. Previously, policies were configured with Site URLs, but this new feature allows scoping to specific users and groups instead via a new picker. This improves compliance and labeling capabilities for OneDrive workloads, and existing policies can still be used or remove Site URLs from the location to trigger the new user and group picker. This preview release is set for July 2023 and the platform is available on the web cloud instance worldwide.
