Microsoft Teams: Private Line

Microsoft Teams has introduced a new calling feature called Private Line, which allows users to have a secondary, private phone number that can be given out to a select group of callers. This feature allows for direct calls to the user, circumventing the need for delegates, admins, or assistants. Unique notification and ringtone will indicate an incoming private line call. Private line will only support inbound calls. Standard Release and GCC rollout started early December and is expected to complete by mid-December, while GCCH and DoD rollout will begin in early January and is expected to complete by early February. Organizations will have the ability to designate a phone number as a private line for users to take private line calls. No preparation is needed; once the feature rolls out, private line can be set up for users.
