Microsoft Teams Phone devices: Advanced calling and contact management on non-touch phones

Microsoft Teams is set to release advanced calling and contact management features on non-touch phones that are certified for Teams use. With these features, users can park active calls, add directory contacts and contact groups, and enable Advanced calling on common area phones. To ensure access to these new features, Teams phone devices should be updated with the latest application from the Teams admin center. The rollout will occur automatically by the specified date, and no admin action is required. It is essential to note that if your organization does not use Teams phone devices, this message is not relevant.
This feature will be convenient for users, enabling them to have more control over their calls and manage their contacts efficiently. The rollout of this feature is expected to begin in early May 2024 and conclude by late May 2024 for General Availability worldwide, and for GCC High late June 2024 to late July 2024. Thus, it is important to keep the Teams phone devices updated and notify users and admins of the upcoming change and update any applicable documentation.
