Offline meetings in Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams has officially announced a new feature that enables the creation of offline meetings for in-person events such as personal appointments and lunch breaks. With this new feature, you can turn off the online toggle for a meeting, creating a true appointment in Teams calendar. By default, all meetings in Teams are online meetings, but the toggle is available for private meetings and appointments. Offline events will not create a chat thread and other Teams meeting artifacts connected to online meetings. The feature will begin rolling out in late May for Standard Release and early July for GCC, GCCHigh, DoD, but there is no need for users to prepare for the change, though heads up can be given to users about this new feature.
