Legacy Microsoft SharePoint Invitation Manager settings have retired

Microsoft has announced that the Legacy SharePoint Invitation Manager settings have been retired, with the specific setting for guests to sign in with the invited account no longer appearing. However, the SharePoint Invitation Manager's retirement doesn't change product behavior. Instead, users are recommended to use the 'Anyone' link sharing setting and a link is provided for configuring external sharing. As part of MC696169, all related settings from the Microsoft SharePoint admin center have been retired. Therefore, there is no behavior change in the product, and no admin action is required before the rollout. Users should note that all link sharing today requires guests to accept link sharing invitations with the account that was invited. If users want guests to access links with a different account, they should use the Anyone link sharing setting instead.
To meet their organization's needs, admins can plan and deploy a file collaboration environment through SharePoint in Microsoft 365 by referring to the link provided by Microsoft. Admins will need to ensure that they notify their users of the change and update any relevant documentation with regard to the retirement of the Legacy SharePoint Invitation Manager settings.
