Legacy SharePoint Invitation Manager is being retired
Microsoft is retiring the Legacy SharePoint Invitation Manager for guests. This tool is currently only used for sharing document libraries externally or sharing with custom roles. Instead, Microsoft is transitioning to using Entra B2B Invitation Manager for these flows. This change will begin rolling out for Targeted Release in December 2023 and for Standard Release in January 2024, concluding by late February 2024. The new Entra B2B Invitation Manager will respect any policies or settings in the Entra B2B admin center. Organizations using this tool may need to update their end-user documentation and check their Entra B2B settings to ensure consistency with policies in the SharePoint Admin Center.
