Updating OneDrive for Business end users ability to create service requests directly

Updating OneDrive for Business end users ability to create service requests directly

In an effort to streamline communication and support within OneDrive for Business, Microsoft has announced that end users will no longer be able to create service requests directly with the company. Instead, only administrators will have the ability to contact Microsoft for support issues. Microsoft will continue to enhance communication with end users through in-product feedback and the Feedback portal. This change will be rolled out starting in early-December and is expected to be completed by late December. After the change, users will no longer be able to create service requests directly from OneDrive clients on Windows, Mac, iOS, or Android devices, although they will still be able to send feedback. Administrators will still be able to create service requests from the Microsoft admin center. To prepare for these changes, organizations may want to update their training and documentation as necessary.
