Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Support for static and adaptive policy scopes for auto-apply retention labels targeting SITs in Exchange

Microsoft has announced that auto-apply retention labels in Exchange, that target sensitive information types, will now support static include/exclude and adaptive policy scopes. Previously, administrators could only target all Exchange mailboxes, but now with the new feature, retention labels can be applied to specific scopes, enhancing the granularity of control within compliance policies. The feature is set to be released in November CY2023, and will be available on the web cloud platform, including instances for DoD, GCC High, and GCC.
