Microsoft Purview | Communication Compliance support for adaptive policy scopes (public preview)

Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance is soon to introduce support for adaptive policy scopes in its public preview. This feature allows organizations to define user scopes based on criteria like geography, group, or Azure Active Directory attributes for policies. With adaptive policy scopes, policies automatically update to include users that match defined risk criteria, rather than needing administrators to update static user lists for policy scope manually. The rollout of this feature is expected to begin in late January and be completed by the end of February, providing enhanced help to detect business conduct and regulatory compliance violations. Username pseudonymization by default, role-based access controls, admin-led investigator opt-ins, and audit logs are features that ensure user-level privacy. No action is required to enable this feature, but to get started, organizations can use Communication Compliance in the Microsoft Purview compliance portal.
