Microsoft Purview Data Lifecycle Management: Upcoming retirement of SharePoint Online Record Center site features
Microsoft Purview Data Lifecycle Management is a scalable solution for proactively retaining or deleting content in Microsoft 365. The platform offers a flexible solution for managing data and is set to retire SharePoint Online Record Center site features that are not part of the Microsoft Purview Records Management or Purview Data Lifecycle Management. The Record Center site template, Programmable Interface and Content Organizer features will retire at the beginning of January 2025. The retirement plan does not apply to SharePoint Server (On-Premises) features. Organizations using the Record Center features or feature behaviors should migrate to supported features to avoid potential negative impacts. Microsoft Support will no longer be available for these features and configurations may not be available through the user interface or programmatically. Organizations should refer to the Microsoft documentation for migration strategies and modern features to use instead.
