Issue Awareness: Temporary impact to some Microsoft Loop policy configurations
Microsoft has recently identified an issue that may have temporarily impacted some users' ability to configure policies in Microsoft Loop. During the period between October 10 and October 14, 2024, certain policy configurations were not honored, which allowed users to create workspaces and access "Edit in Pages" functions within Copilot when such actions should have been disabled. If you had the associated policies disabled in your tenant, you may have had users perform these unexpected actions during the impact timeframe, though telemetry does not confirm this. As part of its commitment to privacy and transparency, Microsoft is notifying affected organizations and providing resources to discover workspaces and other components created during the impacted timeframe. For more information, consult the Microsoft SharePoint Admin tools, which can identify creators, owners, timestamps, and other properties of SharePoint Embedded containers, or refer to the SharePoint Audit Logs.
