Microsoft SharePoint: Export content (including Microsoft Loop) stored in SharePoint Embedded (SPE) containers

Microsoft is set to introduce the ability for admins to export content, including Microsoft Loop, stored in SharePoint Embedded (SPE) containers. This update will allow the use of third-party tools with guest app permissions to operate on SPE content. The rollout is scheduled to begin in mid-October 2024 and full availability is expected by late October 2024. Admins can add guest app permissions to allow third-party tools to export and use Microsoft Purview eDiscovery on Copilot Pages and any Loop content from Loop workspaces stored in SPE containers using the Purview tool or the Microsoft Graph API. Copilot Pages, which are stored in SPE containers, provide a dynamic canvas for team collaboration within Microsoft 365 Copilot. The offline export of Loop content can still continue through the eDiscovery (Premium) workflow, and the export and eDiscovery review flows will continue to be available for Microsoft Loop components created in Teams, Outlook, and Word for the web and now includes content in SPE.

Overall, this update offers a significant improvement to content management for admins, allowing for more efficient workflows and improved compliance and governance.
