Microsoft Purview AI Hub: Enabling new roles to access AI Hub

If you are a Microsoft E5 or Compliance E5 license holder, you will soon have access to new roles in Microsoft Purview AI Hub. Purview Compliance Administrator and Purview Security Reader are the two new roles offering different levels of access. The Purview Compliance Administrator has admin-level access and can create policies and complete tasks. Meanwhile, Purview Security Reader is a read-only role which allows users to view analytics, policies, and AI Interactions. Additional roles may be required to access specific capabilities. Rollouts for this feature will begin in August 2024 and are expected to be fully available by late November 2024. Before the rollout, you can assign Microsoft Entra Global Administrator and Microsoft Entra Compliance Administrator to access AI Hub, which will not change after the rollout. To prepare for this change, you need to review the roles' capabilities and align them with the level of access for AI Hub to determine the correct role assignments.
This feature will be accessible to all admins with the required permissions and can be included in a custom role group or assigned to the built-in role groups for these roles. For more information on the capabilities of both roles in AI Hub, please refer to Permissions for AI Hub.
This information is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 408542 and was posted on M365 Admin.
