Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Audit – New default retention for Audit (Standard)
Microsoft has changed the default retention period for Microsoft Purview Audit (Standard) from 90 days to 180 days. This change is set to take effect on the General Availability Release date in October CY2023 and will apply to the Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant) platform. However, the default retention period for Audit (Premium) will remain at 1 year.
