Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Lifecycle Management – Ability to change retention period on labels set to start retention based on “When items were labeled”

Microsoft has added a new feature to the Purview compliance portal which will allow admins to change the retention period set on existing labels configured to start retention from when items were labeled. Previously, this ability was not available but now the behavior of these labels will be consistent with other retention label types. This change will be available on the web cloud instance GCC and is set to release in December CY2023. This feature will enhance data lifecycle management and provide greater flexibility for admins in their data retention processes.
