Microsoft Teams: New DVR capabilities for town halls (desktop and web)
Microsoft Teams is set to release a new DVR functionality for all town halls, allowing attendees to interact with live streams as they would with recorded content. This feature includes pause, play, volume control and live catch-up functions, all available on Windows Desktop or the web. The rollout is set to begin in December 2024, with full availability expected by late January 2025. Attendees can access the DVR controls by hovering over the content being presented in the town hall or by navigating to the Q&A page on the right side of the Teams window. No admin action is required for the update, making it more accessible to all users.
