Microsoft Teams: Event Chat for town halls
Microsoft Teams has rolled out a new update, where attendees, presenters, and organizers can interact through a new Event Chat feature during a town hall session. Previously, only presenters and organizers could chat with each other. This new feature permits chatting among all participants, while presenters and organizers can still engage in private chat. This update is now available on desktop and cloud platforms for Microsoft Teams users. This update is part of Microsoft Teams' General Availability release with a release date of November CY2024.
If you are an organizer or presenter who wants to encourage more interactivity and engagement during your town hall sessions and create an inclusive environment, this feature is certainly worth trying out.
