Microsoft Teams: 3P eCDN support for town halls (Premium)
Microsoft Teams has rolled out an update that enables admins to disable Microsoft's first-party eCDN at a user level within a tenant for Teams Premium licensed users. Instead, users can utilize third-party eCDNs for a better town hall experience. This update empowers users to switch between eCDN providers as they see fit, offering greater flexibility in managing their video conferencing and live events. The feature was made generally available in February CY2024, and is accessible worldwide on the web cloud platform.
