Microsoft Teams: FAQs about town halls and Teams Live Events

This post addresses some frequently asked questions about Microsoft Teams town halls and Teams Live Events (TLE). Specifically, it clarifies that TLE is not retiring this year and no new retirement dates have been set, and that TLE scheduling will be transitioned to Teams 2.1 by December 2024. While TLE will continue to be maintained, all major feature updates will be reserved for Teams town hall. The Microsoft 365 Roadmap will reflect feature releases, and customers are encouraged to move to town hall as soon as possible.
