Microsoft 365 file sensitivity labels in Copilot responses availability update

Microsoft 365 Copilot users will soon be able to view file sensitivity labels in Business Chat and enterprise data protection chat, similar to other Microsoft 365 products. The rollout begins in January 2025 with no action required. Copilot will indicate current sensitivity label settings for any Microsoft 365 file used to ground a prompt in either Copilot Business Chat web mode or enterprise data protection web grounding chat. The same sensitivity settings displayed across Microsoft 365 products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint will be shown. Copilot will display sensitivity label shields at the bottom of responses with the referenced file to help users identify the level of sensitivity for the content. There is no action required for organizations to prepare. More information can be found on Microsoft's roadmap and learning pages. Message ID: MC954841.
