Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Loss Prevention – Data Loss Prevention to restrict Microsoft 365 Copilot processing on content with sensitivity labels

Microsoft has extended its Purview Data Loss Prevention feature to Microsoft 365 Copilot, enabling DLP policies to detect sensitivity labels in enterprise data and limiting access to content in Microsoft 365 Copilot. With this update, DLP has become more capable of safeguarding content from unauthorized access. The feature is currently in Preview Release and scheduled for a full release in March CY2025, with a preview date of November CY2024.

To further enhance the privacy and security of enterprise data, Microsoft has added this feature to the worldwide instance of the standard multi-tenant Cloud platform. This was created on November 20, 2024, as part of Microsoft's continuing strategy to improve data security and compliance.
