Microsoft Teams: Default enable transcription policy for new tenants
In a bid to boost the adoption of transcription and AI features in Microsoft Teams, the default policy for Transcription on new tenants is being updated, such that it will be enabled by default. This change will not automatically enable transcription for all meetings, but users can activate it as needed. This aligns the Transcription policy with the Recording policy and is expected to take effect from January CY2025 onwards for Desktop and Cloud Instance platforms on a global scale. This update enables users to take advantage of the benefits of AI in Teams.
