Microsoft Teams phone devices: Speed dial customization using line keys for non-touch phones and sidecars
Microsoft has announced that users of non-touch Microsoft Teams phone devices will soon be able to customize speed dial using line keys and sidecars, a new feature which will be rolled out from mid-October to late December 2024. By allowing non-touch phone users to quickly access frequently dialed contacts and numbers while also setting up custom contacts and speed dial on line key buttons and sidecars, this feature enhances user experience in Microsoft Teams. The update, set to be enabled by default, requires the latest application update and applies to non-touch phones and touch phones with sidecar/expansion modules. Organizations are encouraged to ensure their Teams phone devices are updated to get access to these new features. The rollout will happen automatically by the specified date with no admin action required before the rollout.
