Microsoft Teams: Hotline phones
Microsoft Teams certified phone devices can now be programmed to directly dial pre-configured phone numbers or contacts through the hotline feature. This can be particularly useful for emergency services in a manufacturing plant or help desk in an organization. The setup process can be done either through the device settings or the Teams admin center. To enable the hotline feature, the device must have a Teams Shared Device License and be set to common area phone mode. This feature was released on June CY2023 and is available on the Android platform and various cloud instances. For more details, refer to Microsoft's roadmap ID 123749.
