Microsoft Teams Phone Mobile: New “Call my phone” feature

Microsoft Teams Phone Mobile is launching a new feature called "Call my phone" that allows users to seamlessly transfer calls from the Teams app to their cell phone dialer using the Audio Conferencing Subscription service. This feature is specifically for individual calls and will be available after updates in June and July 2024. It will only apply to calls to one person and not group calls. Users will need to update to the newest Teams Phone app once the feature rolls out, which will occur automatically without any admin action required. This new feature will allow TPM users on iOS and Android to transfer an active call to their cell phone dialer on their SIM-enabled device without interrupting the call. The rollout will affect users worldwide and will be completed by late July 2024.

To prepare for this rollout, users should update their Teams Phone app once the feature becomes available. Admin action is not needed for the rollout. If you're an organization that uses Teams Phone Mobile, you may want to notify your users about this change and update any relevant documentation.
