Outlook Browser extension is being retired

Microsoft has announced that it is retiring the Outlook browser extension for both Edge and Chrome browsers, with the change taking effect from November 30, 2023. Instead, they are focusing on improving the Outlook on Edge sidebar to provide a more integrated and seamless user experience. The change will be rolled out between late November and late December. As a result, the Outlook browser extension will no longer function and users should transition to leveraging the Outlook on Edge sidebar, Outlook app or Outlook web on their browser (Edge or Chrome). Organizations are advised to update their training and documentation accordingly.
