Microsoft Agent 365: Active Users export for agent usage reporting

Microsoft Agent 365 will add an Active Users export in the Microsoft 365 admin center, allowing AI and Global Admins to generate a CSV report of users who used agents in the past 30 days. This read-only feature aids licensing reviews and requires no preparation. What and Why: We’re introducing a new reporting capability in Microsoft Agent 365 that enables AI Admins and Global Admins to export an inventory of users who have actively used agents registered in their tenant’s Agent 365 Registry during the previous 30 days. This report provides visibility into agent usage and can help organizations support agent licensing reviews and planning activities. Rollout Schedule: General Availability (Worldwide): Rolling out in late August 2026 and expected to complete by late August 2026. Impact on Your Organization: Who is affected AI Admins Global Admins Platforms and services Microsoft 365 admin center Microsoft Agent 365 What will happen A new Active Users export option will be available in: Microsoft 365 admin center > Agents > All Agents > Export Authorized administrators will be able to generate a CSV report containing users who have used an agent represented in the tenant’s Agent 365 Registry during the previous 30 days. The report includes: User Principal Name (UPN) Total Agents Used Total Sessions Last Activity Date This is a read-only reporting capability. There are no changes to: Existing agents User permissions Billing processes The feature will be enabled by default for AI Admins and Global Admins who already have access to Agent 365. Action Required / Recommendations: No action is required to prepare for this change. After rollout, you may want to: Identify the individuals responsible for agent licensing decisions and ensure they have the appropriate administrative access. Review exported usage data to better understand agent adoption across your organization. Use the report to support internal licensing reviews and planning discussions. Compliance Considerations: The feature introduces a new administrative reporting capability that exposes existing usage information for agent activity.
