Join meetings and make calls via Teams Mobile on Android Auto
Good news for Android users! Microsoft is rolling out an update for Teams on Android Auto that allows users to join meetings via the calendar view and easily call speed dial contacts. This update also enables users to resume recent incoming, outgoing or missed calls on the Teams app.
To get started:
- Connect your phone to a car that supports Android Auto.
- Tap the Teams app icon to launch Teams on Android Auto.
- On the meetings tab, users will see the meetings for the day, with an icon indicator on the right for ongoing meetings. To join a Teams online meeting, tap the meeting and join.
- On the calls tab, users can call their favorite contacts that are added on Teams Desktop or Mobile via Speed dial, or resume recent calls via the History option.
However, it is important to note that this feature will only be available for Android phones running Android U, and is not currently supported for Xiaomi devices or in a Work Profile. The update is expected to be fully rolled out by early March 2024.
