Microsoft Teams: Brand Impersonation Protection for Teams Messaging

Microsoft Teams is taking a step forward to protect users from brand impersonation attacks by enabling identification of external users who may be impersonating a brand targeted by phishing attacks. This feature will alert enterprise users during their initial contact with such users through Teams messages. The feature is currently in general availability release phase and can be accessed on desktop and cloud platforms. This promising addition to Teams messaging is set to be released globally for the standard multi-tenant cloud instance by November CY2024.
