In a follow-up to Message Center post MC567478, Microsoft Teams users will now have the ability to report any suspicious messages as a security risk within Teams. This includes phishing or spam messages, or those containing malicious content like malware files or phishing URLs. Note that this functionality only applies to Microsoft for Defender Plan 2 customers or Microsoft E5/Office E5 customers. If not disabled in the Teams admin center, the toggle setting will go into effect on July 10th and be completed for all tenants by mid-July 2023. Organizations can opt-out of the default "on" option via Teams messaging policies. To learn more about managing messaging policies, refer to Manage messaging policy in teams. As always, feedback can be provided directly to the responsible team through the Message Center post.
