Microsoft Teams: Voice isolation will be available for macOS desktops

Users of Microsoft Teams on macOS will be able to enjoy clear and uninterrupted calls or meetings with the introduction of the Voice isolation feature starting from early October 2024. Voice isolation is an AI-based technology that suppresses background noise and eliminates unwanted sounds, including other human voices, and ensures only the user's voice is transmitted. To use this feature, admins must enable the enrollUserOverride policy and the Voice isolation feature policy in the Teams admin center. Users can enroll their voice profile, and the rollout will be automatic. This rollout is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 412359 and will happen by mid-October 2024. For better audio input quality, users will need to enable the voice isolation feature and enroll their recognition profile in Teams Settings.
Overall, this feature aims to enhance call clarity on the macOS desktops and offers an advanced noise suppression feature that eliminates unwanted background noise, including other human voices which recognizes the user's voice profile, ensuring only the user's voice is transmitted. This feature will be enabled by default, with admins having the option to disable it using Microsoft PowerShell.
