Introducing the New Teams Telephony Admin Role in Teams Admin Center
The Teams Telephony Admin is a new role-based access control (RBAC) addition in the Microsoft Teams Admin Center. This role facilitates standalone management of telephony-related functions in Teams Admin Center, with targeted capabilities related to telephony management. The capabilities include user management, voice management, and analytics and reporting for PSTN-related reports. This new role allows administrators to efficiently manage voice settings, voice-related policies, phone numbers, locations, voice apps, and direct routing settings.
The rollout of this feature is expected to begin in late February 2024 and conclude by early March 2024. Organizations may want to notify their Teams Global administrators of this new role and prepare relevant training and documentation in advance.
