Microsoft Teams: Face enrollment on Teams Desktop to support recognition in Teams Rooms on Windows
Microsoft Teams has introduced a feature that allows face recognition and video labels to be enabled in Teams Rooms on Windows. This feature is available for Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro license customers, and admins will need to set Teams policies to enable the feature. The desktop client now offers enrollment to enable face recognition, whereby users can enroll their face on the Teams desktop client for recognition. This feature aims to improve Teams' user experience and has initially been released to targeted groups. The release date for this feature is July CY2023.
For those organizations interested in using this feature, it is available to Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant), GCC, DoD, GCC High instances of Microsoft Teams. To learn more about this feature please see the roadmap ID 133737.
