Microsoft Power Platform is introducing an automatic cleanup mechanism that will remove inactive Dataverse for Teams environments, as announced earlier in MC415083 in August 2022. After being inactive for 90 days, Dataverse for Teams environments will be disabled, and if no action is taken by the administrators within 30 days, they will be automatically deleted. This cleanup process will not affect any other Microsoft Teams assets and will only apply to Dataverse integrations. The automatic deletion of inactive environments will begin rolling out in late October 2022 and will be available worldwide by the beginning of November 2022. Administrators are advised to review their Dataverse for Teams environments and determine if they are active or inactive to decide if they will be part of the cleanup process. More information on the automatic cleanup process and how to trigger activity or recover environments can be found in the Power Platform documentation. If further assistance is needed, contact Microsoft Support.
