Reminder: Announcement of automatic deletion of inactive Microsoft Dataverse for Teams environments

If you're currently using Microsoft Dataverse for Teams environments, it's important to be aware of upcoming changes to the platform. In a recent announcement, Microsoft revealed that it will soon be introducing an automatic cleanup mechanism that will remove inactive environments from your tenant. Inactive environments will be disabled after 90 days of inactivity and deleted after 30 days of being disabled, if no action is taken by administrators. It's important to note that this only applies to Dataverse integrations and will not affect any other Microsoft Teams assets such as channels and SharePoint sites.

The automatic deletion of inactive Microsoft Dataverse for Teams environments began rolling out in late October 2022 and will be fully available worldwide by mid-December 2022. To prepare, users should review their Dataverse for Teams environments to confirm if they are active or inactive. Microsoft's Power Platform documentation provides details on how to trigger activity or re-enable or recover your environments. For more information on the reasons driving the cleanup process, review the terms of your licensing agreement and don't hesitate to contact Microsoft Support if you require further assistance.

Overall, it's important to stay informed and take action to ensure your Dataverse for Teams environments remain active and are not impacted by the automatic deletion process.
