Announcement of automatic deletion of inactive Microsoft Dataverse for Teams environments
The Microsoft Power Platform has introduced a new cleanup mechanism to remove inactive Dataverse for Teams environments from your tenant automatically. After 90 days of inactivity, the Dataverse for Teams environments will be disabled, and if no action is taken by the administrators, they will be deleted after 30 additional days. The cleanup only applies to Dataverse integrations and will not harm any other Microsoft Teams assets. This automated deletion of inactive Microsoft Dataverse for Teams environments will be globally available from the beginning of November 2022, starting with rollouts in October of that year. The Power Platform community is advised to assess their Dataverse for Teams environments to determine if they are active or inactive. If you require additional assistance, refer to the Power Platform documentation or contact Microsoft Support. For more information on the reasons behind this automatic cleanup process and what is considered inactive, please consult the terms of the licensing agreement.
